Are You Ready To Win the Game of Thrones or Die Trying on Facebook?

The end of Game of Thrones’s second season heralded the beginning of a long ten month winter for fans of the HBO show based on George R.R. Martin’s A Song of Ice and Fire series. With the show over for the year and the next book so far off it is still as mythic as the monsters that populate Old Nan’s tales, it seems we’ve all been expelled from Westeros for the foreseeable future. Or at least it did until gaming company Disruptor Beam announced Game of Thrones Ascent, an interactive social media game based on the series and created exclusively for Facebook. Don’t get too excited yet; no official launch date has been announced, but the few details that have been revealed about the game are tantalizing.
